Bahamas, June 21, 2017 – Rose Island – Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male visitor who died following a snorkeling incident on June 20.
Reports are that shortly after 3:00 PM, a male visitor was snorkeling in waters of Rose Island, located 3 miles east of Paradise Island off New Providence, when he lost consciousness. The male victim was taken to shore where he was given first aid assistance and transported to Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
