The 47th Annual Meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank in TCI

Turks and Caicos, May 24, 2017 – Providenciales – Happening Now at Gus Lightbourne Gym, a stellar opening of the 47th Annual Meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank.

Some 500 international delegates are in country for the week long gathering of CDB Governors.

Standing in receipt of Premier Hon Sharlene Robinson, Chairman of the session and HE Dr John Freeman, Governor of the TCI was the room filled with delegates and local leaders from the Corporate, Civic, Parliamentary, Public and Church sectors.

It is the second hosting of the meeting in the TCI. Participants in the meeting are set to include Ministers and Government officials, private sector representatives, members of civil society and academia, and media. The flagship event will highlight the impact of the Bank’s investments in its 19 borrowing member countries (BMCs). In addition, stakeholders will take part in strategic discussions on resolving some of the Caribbean Region’s most pressing economic and social development issues.

Meetings will take place today, May 24 and tomorrow, May 25.
