Turks and Caicos, May 23, 2017 – South Caicos – Not only will there be a Miss South Caicos Regatta but a little Miss too as the country counts down now, just days to the 50th Annual event which is already seeing rooms and rides to the fishing capital, with strong bookings.    Contestants are to be the key feature on Friday night at the pageant which will be held at the Regatta Village.

Popularity contests are already on for the five contestants in the senior category.   Keandra Gardiner, 19; Alicia Duncanson, who is 17; JeCannya Garland, 17;  19 year old Anna Taylor and 22 year old  Wilange Charles are in the running.   Your chance to vote for your most favourite contestant ends Friday at 10 p.m.  Little Miss South Caicos regatta entrants are:  Abrielle Thompson, Johira Martinez, Callie Hall, Amaskji Antoine, Crystal Baptiste and Abinasabia Prophete.

Committee member, Blythe Clare says this year’s pageant is special, as it marks the 50th queen to be crowned at the regatta and the winner not only wins the jubilee year crown but a car.   Friday’s pageant is just one of the many events carded for the day, as there will be a float parade showcasing the pageant contestants and a cocktails event celebrating past queens.

InterCaribbean Airways, a sponsor of the regatta is adding yet another flight, as six have already been filled, that extra flight is available for booking today.    Caribbean Cruises has three sailings on Saturday morning at 9am; we understand space is filling up fast.
