Turks and Caicos, March 31, 2017 – Providenciales – The number of petty thefts committed by bold, gun wielding robbers proves that there has to be a market nearby for the items being taken off of residents in these armed robberies.  TCI Police report two new instances of the use of gun to get cash and phones.  A gun pointed at a woman’s head and money demanded as three males, dressed in dark coloured clothing attacked her and a male companion while walking home in the area of Pablo’s Laundromat on Leeward Highway in Provo.

The trio got away with cell phones and some money.  Just hours before, in the very same area, a man reported that he was asleep when he was awoken by a noise coming from his bathroom; before he knew it he was held at gunpoint in his home by a man of short stature who demanded money.  The robber, who is believed to have come through the window, took the man’s wallet with bank cards and some cash and his cell phone. That incident happened around 1:30am.

Police need help in cracking down on crime, call in any information you have. Crime Stoppers takes your call in Miami and it is anonymous, 1 800 TIPS… 1-800-8477.
