Bahamas, March 14, 2017 – Nassau – The fire ice retardant is working magnificently and an all clear is expected anytime now. The powdery substance was dumped onto fires still burning at the Harold Road site by Fletcher Air and Minister Kenred Dorsett said there would be on the ground use of the fire ice from Gel Tech by the Police and Defense Force fire crews.
The aerial dropping of the fire ice almost immediately made getting into previous no go zones, possible. On Monday, school resumed for Acquinas College, where next week extended school hours are arranged to make up for the missed instructional time for students.
