New Requirement for Passport Holders to Sign Turks and Caicos Passports upon Receipt

Providenciales, TCI, February 7, 2017In keeping with the transition of printing Turks and Caicos passports to the United Kingdom which commenced in July, 2015, the Passport Office, within the Registration and Citizenship Department, Ministry of Border Control and Employment hereby inform all passport applicants that effective January 28, 2017 all passports returning will no longer have the electronic signature placed within it. From this date, persons will have to place his or her signature at a prescribed location within the passport upon receipt.

 The travelling public is also reminded to check the validity of their passports whether there are immediate plans to travel, or notMore importantly, the expiry dates on passports must be checked prior to ensure that it is valid for more than six months before purchasing airline tickets.
