Providenciales, TCI, January 4, 2017 – Detectives of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force have charged a 22-year-old male for numerous offenses in connection with a report of a shooting that was made on Friday 23rd December 2016.
Around 12:25 am that date, Police responded to the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre where a 19-year-old female was seen being treated by doctors for non-life threatening gunshot wounds she sustained about her body while at her home in Blue Hills by a male known to her.
The 22-year-old man was charged with Causing Grievous Bodily Harm, Possession of Firearm, Carrying Firearm, and Discharging Ammunition.
A Sufficiency hearing was set by the court for Friday 3rd February 2017.
