TCI Ministry of Health: 3,000 with Diabetes

Providenciales, TCI, November 14, 2016 – Free Glucose testing continues tomorrow at the Cheshire Hall Medical Center says the TCI Diabetes Association which saw lots of support this month and today, which is World Diabetes Day.

Provo Water staff donned the t shirts in support of the fundraising effort of the Association; t shirts are $15.  The Ministry of Health also issued comment exposing that there are believed to be over 3,000 people living with Diabetes in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The Ministry says its goal is to keep an eye on the disease through early diagnosis, proper treatment, good management of one’s life and knowing family history.   The theme this year is keeping an eye on diabetes.  Again, free glucose testing continues tomorrow at the hospital from 10am.
