Turks and Caicos, April 25, 2026 – Blue Hills Member of Parliament Randy Howell is pointing to a $150,000 signage project among the latest improvements planned for his constituency, as Government continues infrastructure spending across communities.

Speaking during the Budget Debate, Howell highlighted the installation of billboard-style directional signs along Millennium Highway and Bay Road, describing the project as part of ongoing efforts to improve navigation, visibility and the overall look of the area.

The signage initiative forms part of a wider package of works for Blue Hills, including upgrades to the Fuller and Clementina Walkin Park, now budgeted at $650,000, and improvements to the Blue Hills Medical Clinic site, where fencing replacement and preparatory works are underway ahead of a new facility.

“These are not expenses—they are investments in generational progress,” Howell said, as he outlined the impact of continued funding for community projects.

He also pointed to $6.3 million in road and secondary infrastructure works across the islands, aimed at easing congestion, improving traffic flow and enhancing access between communities.

“Road striping initiatives… are critical. They bring order to our roads, improve safety, and provide clarity for both residents and visitors,” he added, referencing additional works underway.

The projects highlighted fall under the remit of Infrastructure Minister Arlington Musgrove, whose Ministry is responsible for executing roadworks and public infrastructure across the Turks and Caicos Islands.

While the signage and community upgrades represent visible progress, residents across several areas continue to raise concerns about road conditions, including potholes, drainage and uneven surfaces—issues expected to remain a focus as implementation continues.

The works are being carried out within the framework of the Government’s $550.8 million Budget, passed on April 23, which includes funding for infrastructure and community development across the islands.
