Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Island, 17th December 2025 — The Informal Settlements Unit brought festive joy to children across several informal settlement areas in Five Cays and Blue Hills through its two-day ISU Holiday Cheer Caravan, held on December 13 and 15, 2025.
Designed as a mobile outreach initiative, the Caravan featured a small motorcade of ISU staff travelling through communities to share gifts and treats with children. The activity created a lively and heartwarming atmosphere as families gathered along the route to greet the team, wave to Santa, and take part in the seasonal goodwill.
Across the two days, the Caravan visited the following informal settlement sites: PS:34 Robinson Street, PS:33 Residence Yard, PS:21 Moses Avenue, PS:24 North Stubbs Creek Point, PS:38 Silverado the Wells, PS:35 Roni Fonic Yard, and PS:15 Granny Hill. At each stop, children received age-appropriate toys and treats, with ISU staff taking time to engage with families and extend warm Christmas greetings on behalf of the Unit.
The ISU Holiday Cheer Caravan forms part of the Unit’s broader commitment to positive community engagement, social inclusion, and sustained connection with residents living in informal settlements. By meeting families where they are and creating opportunities for simple but heartfelt interactions, the Unit continues to strengthen trust and foster supportive relationships that underpin its mandate.
The Informal Settlements Unit extends warm holiday wishes to all residents and looks forward to continuing its work with communities across the Turks and Caicos Islands in the new year.
