The operation was initiated at the request of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) in the interest of public safety.
The exercise targeted the removal of 218 unauthorized structures from land registered to a private owner (Block and Parcel 60509/1). This significant undertaking brought together multiple agencies, including the Crown Land Unit, the RTCIPF, the Border Force Department and the Regiment, working alongside the Planning Department and the ISU.
Over three days, heavy equipment operators systematically cleared the site. The operation was completed safely and without serious incident. By the close of the first day, the team had successfully established the full perimeter, with subsequent days dedicated to final clearance and site accessibility improvements.
The ISU wishes to reaffirm its commitment to supporting partner agencies in the coordinated management of lands across the Turks and Caicos Islands, ensuring that enforcement actions are carried out efficiently, lawfully, and in the public interest.
