Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, 29 August 2025 — The Environmental Health Department wishes to advise the public that mosquito control fogging operations will be carried out across islands over the next few days as part of ongoing efforts to reduce mosquito populations and prevent mosquito-borne diseases.
Fogging operations will take place during the early morning hours between 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and in the evenings from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., when mosquitoes are most active. These activities will be ongoing and are subject to change depending on weather and environmental conditions.
The cooperation of the public is kindly requested to ensure the effectiveness of this mosquito control program. Residents are advised to:
Keep doors and windows closed during fogging operations.
Cover or store food and drinking water.
Protect small pets, fish tanks, and bird cages from exposure.
Avoid direct exposure to the fog when trucks are passing.
Reduce mosquito breeding and resting sites around your home by clearing overgrown vegetation, emptying containers that hold standing water, such as buckets, tires, and plant pots.
The Environmental Health Department remains committed to protecting the health and well-being of all residents and visitors. These efforts are part of an ongoing integrated vector control program to minimize mosquito populations and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.
We thank the public for their cooperation and understanding.
