Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – August 4, 2025 – It was a dazzling Emancipation Day weekend in Providenciales as the nation crowned its newest queen. Bereniece Dickenson, a graceful and poised 22-year-old from Salt Cay, emerged victorious as Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2025 during the highly anticipated coronation held at the Gustarvus Lightbourne Sports Complex on August 1.
Hosted by the ever-charismatic Cedric the Entertainer and Turks and Caicos’ own Cheryl Francis-Forman, the 31st installment of the Miss Universe TCI pageant delivered elegance, excitement, and emotion in equal measure. Dickenson, who captivated judges and spectators alike, was awarded Best in Swimsuit and Best Catwalk, before taking the crown in a ceremony filled with cheers, tears, and island pride.
The national pageant featured four finalists, all of whom delivered standout performances. Selena Grant of Providenciales was named first runner-up, while Aaliyah Elliott (also of Providenciales) and Farrah Grant of Grand Turk rounded out the top four.
As the new queen, Dickenson now prepares to represent the Turks and Caicos Islands at the 74th Miss Universe Pageant, set for November 21, 2025, at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand. She joins a global lineup of women vying not just for a crown, but for the opportunity to champion platforms that empower and uplift communities.
Tributes to Bereniece flowed across social media and in person from family, supporters, and national leaders. Her family expressed deep gratitude to God, mentors, the Miss Universe TCI committee, and the late Reggie Dickenson, whose belief in her, they say, helped fuel her journey. Her message to fellow contestants was one of solidarity and encouragement: “You were stars. Don’t stop chasing your dreams.”
The night’s significance was amplified by the presence of high-level guests, including Premier Hon. Charles Washington Misick, Deputy Governor Anya Williams, Deputy Premier Hon. EJ Saunders, former Miss Universe TCI queens, Miss Teen One Nation, Miss Grand Turk, and the former Miss Universe Haiti.
Official bikini sponsor bēchë also extended heartfelt congratulations, praising Dickenson’s elegance and the inspiration she brings to their brand. “It’s always an honor to work closely with the incredible queens each year,” the company posted. “We’re inspired by your grace, determination, and the beauty each of you brings to our designs.”
The Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2025 pageant was more than a show—it was a celebration of sisterhood, resilience, and national pride. And now, as she steps onto the international stage, Bereniece Dickenson carries the hopes of a nation, ready to shine.
