PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands – Sports play a vital role in the Turks and Caicos Islands; bringing communities together and promoting values of teamwork, discipline and resilience. Beaches Turks and Caicos, the Caribbean’s leading all-inclusive family resort, is committed to supporting youth development both on and off the playing field and creating well-rounded individuals who can thrive in various aspect of life.

This commitment is embedded in the resort’s community outreach initiatives, many of which are supported by the Sandals Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Sandals Resorts. From athletics to academics, Beaches ensures that young people are given opportunities to discover and nurture their talents.

Managing Director, James McAnally highlighted the resort’s philosophy, “at Beaches Turks & Caicos, we believe in holistic growth. Athletic and co-curricular opportunities are just as important as career development because they help build discipline, teamwork and resilience. These qualities serve individuals well in any job or walk of life. Supporting sports is one of the ways we create authentic human connections with our community.”

Beaches demonstrates this belief through its role as title sponsor of the Men’s Provo Premier League, the islands’ top tier football competition. The resort also contributes to a wide range of local sporting initiatives, including the Provo Cricket League, the Red Hot Challenge, the Turks & Caicos Softball Association, the TCI Football Association and the Let’s Move TCI Softball and Netball competitions.

In addition, Beaches supports wellness and health-focused initiatives to include annual sponsorship of the Jadot Golf Tournament, which benefits the Turks and Caicos Health and Wellness Foundation. These relationships reflect the resort’s long term commitment to supporting young athletes and strengthening community well-being.

For Beaches, however, the commitment goes beyond financial sponsorship. Team member involvement is central to the resort’s approach, with employees actively participating in community events and leagues. From competing in the Red Cross “Red Hot” Challenge to joining local cricket and softball tournaments, Beaches team members proudly represent the resort while building stronger ties with their community.

Human Resources Manager Owenta Coleby emphasized this point, “our team members don’t just work here; they live here and they love this community. When they participate in sporting events, they connect with their neighbours, build teamwork and have fun together. It’s a powerful way for us to show that we are part of the fabric of the Turks and Caicos Islands.”

Public Relations Manager, Orville Morgan, added that the resort’s involvement is rooted in presence and genuine care, “supporting sports in the Turks and Caicos isn’t only about perceptions; it’s about showing up. Whether we are funding a league, cheering from the sidelines or playing on the field ourselves, our goal is always to strengthen individuals and demonstrate that Beaches is committed to these islands and their people.”

Ultimately, Beaches Turks and Caicos’ investment in sports underscores a broader mission to uplift individuals, support youth development and create opportunities for growth that extend well beyond the workplace. Through its support of sporting activities, the resort will continue to help young people unlock their potential and build stronger, healthier communities for the future.
