Law Enforcement Agencies participate in Flag Raising Ceremony

   THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL SECURITY

(MNS-JFK, 01 JUL. 2025): The Minister of National Security, the Honorable Wayne Munroe, K.C., gave an overview of the country’s marked improvement since gaining independence in 1973, during a Flag Raising ceremony on Monday July 1, 2025, at the Orville Turnquest Building, John F. Kennedy Drive.

With leaders from the various law enforcement agencies which included Commissioner of Police Shanta Knowles, Defence Force Commodore Floyd Moxey and Bahamas Correctional Services Commissioner Doan Cleare in attendance the national flag was hoisted, followed by the playing of the National Anthem.

As the country observes its 52nd Independence Anniversary, the Ministry of National Security stands in saluting the achievements of the nation and is committed to developing and ensuring a safer and brighter future for today’s generation.
