Turks and Caicos, July 4, 2025 – Addressing the graduating class of 2025 at Precious Treasures International School (PTIS), Deputy Premier Hon. Jamell Robinson challenged students to prepare for a fast-changing world by taking active responsibility for their future and the communities they belong to.

The keynote, centered on the theme “One World, Many Pathways: Embrace the Change,” highlighted not only the interconnectedness of today’s global society but also the specific responsibilities that come with it. The Deputy Premier underscored that graduates must expect change—and be ready to meet it with curiosity, adaptability, and action.

He listed four clear takeaways for how young people can navigate what’s ahead:

  1. Stay curious – Seek out knowledge, new skills, and global perspectives.
  2. Be resilient – Expect setbacks, but use them as opportunities to grow.
  3. Step out of your comfort zone – Embrace discomfort as a space for growth.
  4. Connect with others – Learn from people with different backgrounds.

“Your path may not look like anyone else’s,” he said, “but that doesn’t make it any less valid. There is no one way to succeed.”

The Deputy Premier called on graduates to think beyond personal success and recognize their role in broader society. He urged them to take part in addressing global and local challenges—climate change, inequality, and community development—by using their skills to uplift others, respect diversity, and protect the environment.

Quoting former U.S. President Barack Obama, he concluded: “We are the change that we seek.” With that, the Deputy Premier left students with a clear message: graduation is not an end, but the beginning of their responsibility to act, contribute, and lead.
