Anti-Money Laundering Compliance gets green light in June 18 Cabinet Meeting

Turks and Caicos – WEDNESDAY 18, JUNE 2025 – Her Excellency, Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, chaired the 11th meeting of Cabinet held on Wednesday June 18th, 2025, in Providenciales. All members of Cabinet were present.

In this meeting cabinet:

  • Approved the publication of the quarterly Financial Report of the Government’s Statutory Bodies for the financial year 2024-2025.
  • Endorsed the work plan for the implementation of Share Transfer Duty Collection.
  • Approved a Stamp Duty Remission Order to SPR LND Ltd. for a period of six (6) months.
  • Approved an amendment to the proposed Development Agreement for Palace Resorts.
  • Approved amendments to the National Physical Development Plan in accordance with the statutory procedures.
  • Approved a rental lease agreement for the relocation of the Kew Library on North Caicos.
  • Refused an application for public tender of a lease on crown land parcel 10405/213.
  • Approved amendments to the Grand Turk Enhancement and Sustainability Act 2022.
  • Approved the policy for verifying banking details for customers and vendors based on Anti-Money Laundering Compliance.
  • Approved a way forward in respect of an ongoing legal matter.
  • Approved the payment of a claim in respect of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF).
  • Approved the following appointments to the Labour Tribunal Board for a period of two (2) years effective 26 June 2025:
    • Shanice Swann (Member, Employer Representative)
    • Danzella Jennings (Member, Employee Representative)
    • Bishop Joseph Leon Hall Sr. (Member, Employee Representative)
