Turks and Caicos, May 1, 2025 – Health and Human Services Minister Kyle Knowles today announced the commissioning of two new ambulances into service, a significant step in improving emergency response and public health infrastructure in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI).
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Knowles emphasized the importance of strong international partnerships, particularly with the West Midlands Ambulance Service and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, in achieving this milestone.
“This reflects our dedication to enhancing emergency care and the strength of collaboration,” Knowles said. “Strategic partnerships are essential to building effective policy and achieving real progress.”
Knowles underscored that collaboration with stakeholders and experts leads to better, more sustainable health solutions. The upgraded ambulance fleet is a result of those efforts, aimed at providing timely and reliable care across the islands.
“As we continue this relationship with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, we take critical steps toward a more responsive emergency system for all,” he added.
Residents and visitors alike can now feel more confident that dependable emergency services will be available when needed, reinforcing TCI’s commitment to health and safety for all.
