Turks and Caicos, May 8, 2025 – Her Excellency, Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 6th meeting of Cabinet held on Tuesday April 15, 2025, at the Hon Hilly Ewing Building, Providenciales. All members of Cabinet were present.
At this meeting Cabinet:
- Received an update from Interpath regarding the status of the National Health Insurance Board (NHIB).
- Approved the execution of a Development Agreement between the Government and Desarrollos Hotelco DC Ltd.
- Approved an application for exemption of Import Customs Duties (ICD) on importation of laundry supplies.
- Approved amendments to the Airports Authority Act Cap 06.01 to vest parcels of Crown Land on Providenciales to the Ports Authority.
- Approved the appointment of the following persons to the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College Board of Governors for a period of three years effective April 22, 2025:

- Approved the permanent extension to Customs (Import Duty Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2022 and (Customs Processing Fee) (Variation of Rate) (No. 2) Order 2022.
- Approved the permanent reduction of the fuel tax rate to $0.64 per gallon pursuant to the Customs (Additional Import Duty on Fuel) (Amendment) Order 2022.
- Approved additional funding for various capital projects in the Development Fund which was approved in the 1st Supplementary Appropriation (2024/2025), 2nd Supplementary Appropriation (2024/2025) and the 4th Supplementary Appropriation (2024/2025).
- Approved the extension of appointment of Mr. Miquel Swann as Chairman of the Procurement Board for a period of three (3) months, up to 30 June 2025.
- Noted the award of the following contracts in line with the process according to the provisions of the Public Procurement Act; Contract Award Notification:
