FROM THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF JUSTICE
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, 1st May 2025 – Sandra Minott-Phillips, KC, JA is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Jamaica. She was elevated to the Inner Bar on May 1, 2012. She is currently a senior partner of the Jamaican law firm, Myers, Fletcher & Gordon. She is also a Justice of Appeal in Belize having been appointed to that office in 2021.
Sandra Minott-Phillips, KC, JA is a specialist litigator who regularly appears as counsel in Jamaica before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. She conducts a complex, wide-ranging, and voluminous litigation practice. As a practicing and experienced advocate, she has trained and led numerous junior counsels. She tutored Civil Procedure (Pt. II) to final year students at the Norman Manley Law School for many years.
Sandra Minott-Phillips, KC, JA has authored several articles on legal issues that are published in the West Indian Law Journal and elsewhere.
She has presented at several seminars put on by Bar Associations in the Caribbean. She is a former (multi term) member of the Council of the Jamaican Bar Association and currently serves as one of its nominated representatives on the Rules Committee of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal of Jamaica.
