Quintisha Forbes Appointed as The Development Control Officer

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Island, 5th March 2025 The Office of the Deputy Governor is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Quintisha Forbes as a Development Control Officer within the Department of Planning and Physical Development in the Ministry of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development.

Ms Forbes’ academic journey began at the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Architectural Design and Building Technology in 2022. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management from Arden University (UK) through online studies. Recently, she achieved a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification and is actively working toward her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Moreover, she holds professional certificates in Construction Safety & Health and Modern Project Management, which include Quality, Risk, Procurement, and Project Closeout from the Alison Institution.

Ms Forbes began her professional career in May 2021 at the National Insurance Board as a Data Entry & Transaction Clerk. She then transitioned into the hospitality sector as a Front Desk & Concierge Agent at the Royal West Indies Resort in 2022. She later rejoined the public sector as an Administrative Assistant at the TCI Financial Services Commission, where she served until October 2024. During her time there, she gained valuable experience overseeing construction and maintenance projects while pursuing her bachelor’s degree.

Reflecting on her appointment, Ms. Forbes stated, “I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as a Development Control Officer in the Planning Department. My faith has been a guiding light throughout my journey, and I believe wholeheartedly in the power of perseverance and trust in God. As Matthew 21:22 reminds us, ‘And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.’ I look forward to contributing to my department and making a meaningful impact on the development of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
