Fostering Joy and Connection: Aged Care and Rehabilitation Department Hosts “Seniors Night” Karaoke Event

Cockburn Town, Turks and Caicos Islands, 28 March 2024 – In line with its ongoing commitment to promoting Healthy Aging as a key focus, the Aged Care and Rehabilitation Department, in partnership with the Department of Social Development, is excited to present “Seniors Night – A Karaoke Event.” This special event aims to bring joy, social connection, and holistic well-being to the senior citizens of South Caicos.

The event will take place on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church Hall, South Caicos. This lively evening promises music, laughter, and community engagement, emphasizing the importance of mental, emotional, and social health as integral components of healthy aging. Seniors will have the opportunity to showcase their talents through karaoke performances, enjoy light refreshments, and connect with fellow community members in a vibrant, supportive atmosphere.

“Healthy aging isn’t just about physical care—it’s about celebrating life, fostering meaningful connections, and staying active,” stated Hon. Kyle Knowles, Minister of Health and Human Services.

Ms. Betty-Ann Been, Director of the Aged Care and Rehabilitation Department, further shared, “Events like Seniors Night are vital to our mission of ensuring that our elders thrive in every aspect of their golden years.”
