Department of Citizenship and Naturalization Staff and Leadership Successfully Completed Onbase User Certification

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Tuesday, 4 March 2025: The Department of Citizenship and Naturalization, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is advancing its digital transformation efforts to modernise and streamline operations. As part of this ongoing initiative, the department has partnered with Patterson Pope to implement Hyland OnBase Software, enabling the digitisation of paper-based records, forms, and manual processes.

In alignment with this transition, OnBase User Certification Training was conducted by Karen Ruff of Patterson Pope in partnership with Mr. Larry Mills, Director of Citizenship & Naturalization. This certification marks a key milestone in the department’s digital journey, positioning it at the forefront of this transformation. The training provided essential knowledge and skills to staff, ensuring proficiency in utilising OnBase for document management and workflow automation.

Training Overview

The training session introduced participants to OnBase fundamentals, including:

  • System navigation and user roles
  • Document importing and classification
  • Workflow automation and processing
  • Custom queries and advanced search techniques
  • User access management and system security

The training also addressed key technical and operational challenges, reinforcing the importance of user engagement and continuous system refinement. Participants who successfully completed the training, reviewed the course materials, and passed the certification test received the P2 OnBase User Certificate.
