Turks and Caicos, March 11, 2025 – GEORGE THOMAS ARTHUR Jr., 48, of Reece Street, Five Cays, Providenciales, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court today (11th March 2025) charged with the following offences:
- One Count – Conspiracy to Commit Murder
- Two Counts – Possession of a Firearm
Mr. Arthur, also known as “Blocks’, is expected to reappear in the Supreme Court on 02 May for a sufficiency hearing. The accused has been remanded in custody.
Mr. Arthur is alleged to have conspired to murder GUILENE JEAN BAPTISTE.
Mr. Baptiste, 26, of Dock Yard, was shot dead on August 2, 2023.
After intensive investigations, officers of the Serious Crimes Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force approached the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Following consultations, the charges were proffered.
