TCI Cabinet approves 2025 caricom/oecd conference

Thursday, 13 February 2025  – Her Excellency Governor Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 1^st meeting of the Cabinet on Thursday February 13^th, 2025, at the Office of the Premier on the island of Providenciales. All members were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:

• Approved the policy contained in the Citation of Acts of Parliament Bill 2025 for further submission to the Parliament.
• Received a National Security update.
• Approved the appointment of the Permanent Secretary for the National Land Secretariat as a member of the Mortgage Fund Committee.
• Approved a settlement offer in relation to Caicos Express Airways.
• Approved the hosting of the 2025 CARICOM/OECD Conference.
• Granted management authority over four parcels of land to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Infrastructure Development to facilitate a community development project.
• Approved an addendum to the Development Agreement between the Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands and The Sandals Group relating to Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort and Spa.
• Approved the clean-up plan prepared in consultation with UKG, TCIG, and Space X officials subject to the approval of the US FAA.
• Approved the payment from the Claims Against Government Account to settle legal fees incurred in relation to Judicial Review matter CL1, CL2, CL4, CL7, and CL13/2023.
• Noted the awarding of contracts for the following:

o    TCIPA 02/24, TR 24/37, Phase 1-Providenciales Security Guard House

o    TCINIB 02/24, SSP, Purchase of Computer Equipment
