Public School Closures for General Elections on February 7, 2025

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands 5th February 2025 The Department of Education hereby advises the public that all public primary and secondary schools across the Turks and Caicos Islands will be closed on Friday, February 7, 2025, to facilitate the conduct of the 2025 General Elections. Regular school operations will resume on Monday, February 10, 2025.

A number of schools will serve as designated polling stations, and the public is asked to be mindful of these locations on Election Day:

Schools Designated as Polling Stations:

 Grand Turk:

  • Grand Turk North – Ona Glinton Primary School
  • Grand Turk South – H.J. Robinson High School

Salt Cay:

  • Mary Robinson Primary School

South Caicos:

  • Iris Stubbs Primary School

North Caicos:

  • Adelaide Oemler Primary School

Providenciales:

  • The Bight – A. Louise Garland High School
  • Blue Hills – Oseta Jolly Primary School
  • Five Cays – Enid Capron Primary School

Additionally, the following private schools in Providenciales will also serve as polling stations:

  • Leeward – Wesley Methodist High School
  • Wheeland – Best Institute School

The Department of Education urges all parents, guardians, and students to make the necessary arrangements in light of these closures. We appreciate the public’s cooperation in ensuring a smooth electoral process.
