Turks and Caicos, February 16, 2025 – A 22-year-old male, charged with offences against a police officer, appeared in court yesterday.
DARIO BUTTERFIELD of Blue Hills, Providenciales, was remanded until Friday, 28th February 2025.
The accused faces the following charges:
· · Four Counts Assault on Police
· · One Count Threat to Police Officer
· · One Count Resist Arrest
· . One Count Obstruction
· . One Count Malicious Injury to Property
The charges against Mr. BUTTERFIELD were laid following a report made on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, during the execution of a warrant in which Mr. Butterfield allegedly uttered certain statements.
Following investigations by officers of the Serious Crime Unit, the accused was charged.
