Wesley Methodist Stingrays are Inter-High School Basketball Champions 2025

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, January 28, 2025 — After a showstopping weekend which led to a sold-out crowd, the Wesley Methodist High School Stingrays came out victorious in the final round of the TCISS Inter-High School Basketball season 2024-25.

This exhilarating outcome came after the Stingrays beat out last year’s second-place team the HJ Robinson Stallions in the semi-finals, to meet Clement Howell High in the finals, who won their semi-final matchup by forfeit. The Stingrays were led by their coach Alvardo Parker and Assistant Coach Scottie Glinton.

January 24th – Semi-final

January 25th – Championship Round

Inter-High School Basketball 2024-25 Awardees

Most Points – Yuery Beato – Elite High School (EHS)

Most Rebounds and Player of the Conference Group B – Poteinsky Dumesle – Wesley Methodist High School (WMHS)

Most Blocks – Ma’karii Lightbourne – Precious Treasures International School (PTIS)

Most Assists – Allan Gedeon – Maranatha Academy (MA)

Most Steals – David Hall – British West Indies Collegiate (BWIC)

Player of the Conference Group A – Abraham Smith – Precious Treasures International School (PTIS)

The top players from the season will now meet on February 1st in the Royal Cup All-Star Basketball game, tipping off at 4:00pm at the Gustarvus Lightbourne Sports Complex. Team East will try to reclaim the title from last year’s winners Team West. Admission will be Adults $5 and Students $3, or you can watch live on the TCI Sports Commission Facebook page and YouTube channel.
