GRAND TURK, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS – [January 24, 2025] – The Supervisor of Elections is pleased to announce that, in compliance with Section 48 of the Elections Ordinance, testing of the Electronic Tabulating System will take place as follows:

This event marks an important step in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our voting process.
The DS200 Electronic Scanner System is a purpose-built tabulator designed to efficiently and accurately count paper ballots. The introduction of these machines represents a significant technological advancement for the upcoming General Elections, further enhancing efficiency and transparency.
Purpose of the Testing: The primary objective of this testing is to confirm that the electronic tabulating system is free of errors and capable of accurately counting votes for all candidates and on all measures.
Open Invitation: The general public, representatives of political parties, and members of the press are warmly invited to attend this important event. Your participation is invaluable in fostering transparency and building confidence in our electoral process.
Following the testing, attendees will have the unique opportunity to practice voting using the new tabulating machines. Elections Officials and technicians from Election Systems & Software (ES&S), the supplier of the DS200, will be available to provide guidance and answer any questions.
In accordance with Section 48(2) of the Elections Ordinance, this test will be widely publicized through various media channels to ensure that all citizens are informed and encouraged to participate. For those unable to attend in person, the testing will be streamed live on social media, allowing broader community engagement.
