Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – In an elegant morning event hosted by The Strand, the TCHTA’s Destination 2025 magazine was officially unveiled on January 23rd to a group of association members, magazine advertisers, contributors and special guests. This much-anticipated edition, themed “The Essence of the Turks and Caicos Islands,” invites readers on a breathtaking journey through the heart, heritage, and natural splendor of this tropical paradise.

The magazine, a flagship publication of the Turks & Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA), stands as a tribute to the indomitable spirit of the islands. Through compelling storytelling and striking imagery, Destination 2025 captures the soul of Turks and Caicos, offering an immersive glimpse into its vibrant culture, pristine landscapes, and the innovative entrepreneurs shaping its future.

“This publication is an invitation”, said Stacy Cox, CEO of the TCHTA, “an invitation for visitors to explore and for residents to rediscover the essence of home. It’s a nod to the experiences that our visitors want to have when they come to our shores; those that will give them an inside look at the heart of soul of this unparalleled destination.”

The stunning cover, captured by Romello Anarje, features the iconic Indian Cave of Middle Caicos, a revered site steeped in natural wonder and cultural significance. This fascinating natural wonder is complemented by Kitchener Penn, of the legendary WeFunk Junkanoo Band, alongside his grandsons, embodying the generational legacy of the islands and its traditions.

Speaking at the event, Omega Simmons, Head Writer, Co-Editor, and member of the Creative Team for Destination, praised the work of the writers and photographers whose work brought the pages to life, “It is an honour for us to say each year that the words and fantastic images that grace these pages are all done by local contributors.” She continued, “With this year’s theme, we wanted every page to reflect not just the beauty of the islands, but the heartbeat of its people and the resilience of its history.”

The 2025 edition is packed with features that go beyond the beaches. From the evolution of accommodations and culinary explorations to untold stories of local entrepreneurs and adventures beneath the waves, every article promises to transport readers into the heart of Turks and Caicos. This year’s magazine also underscores the critical importance of sustainability with a stunning feature on David Gallardo, showcasing eco-conscious efforts that align luxury with environmental stewardship.

Karen Whitt, TCHTA Marketing Chair expressed her excitement for the new edition, “Every year the team works diligently to surpass the years before. This cover and the stories in Destination 2025 are breathtaking and meaningful. We intend to submit this body of work for an award and look forward to sharing it with the world.”

The DelMar Restaurant, situated in the ultra-luxury community of The Strand, provided a perfect setting for the magazine’s debut. The morning event was a harmonious blend of culture, networking, and celebration, underscoring the magazine’s mission of connection and collaboration.

Destination 2025 is free publication, available locally at the TCHTA’s office and on their website www.turksandcaicoshta.com. Visitors will find the publication in their accommodations throughout the country, and the publication is shared at regional and international marketing events.
