Experience Turks and Caicos Welcomes New Events Organiser Specialist

PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS (December 14th, 2024) – Experience Turks and Caicos is pleased to welcome Miss Charmony Hislop to the team as our new Events Organiser Specialist effective Monday, December 2nd, 2024.

In her role, Miss Hislop will plan, develop, and execute cultural and entertainment events across the Turks and Caicos destination. She will also be responsible for creating distinctive signature events that are promoted by Experience Turks and Caicos in source markets and establish an annual event calendar for travel and leisure.

She will partner with the Finance and Operations Department to design and execute fundraising activities associated with events, manage logistics for events, and work with the Product Development Manager for the execution and management of activities such as the weekly Fish Fry in Providenciales and the weekly Taste of Turks in Grand Turk.

Miss Hislop holds a Master of Science in Tourism Management from the University of Derby, UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Event Management from the University of Winchester, UK.

She previously worked as the head of events and writer at Brain Food TCI and events coordinator at WAVES Magazine.

Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Josephine Connolly, welcomed Miss Hislop to the Experience Turks and Caicos team.

“I am very happy to welcome Miss Hislop to our growing team. The Events Organiser Specialist role is a very important one for us as it supports our pillar of Inclusive Growth, ensuring that we work with our communities across the Turks and Caicos Islands to help them benefit from the tourism industry. Miss Hislop is a bright, young woman and she will certainly be an asset to the organisation,” the Minister said.

Miss Hislop expressed her happiness about joining the Experience Turks and Caicos team and helping to build a foundation for the future.

“I am delighted to serve in this position, as it has always been my passion to bring the elements of the Turks and Caicos Islands to life. I am inspired to develop and promote the islands to their fullest potential and I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the people and visitors of our beautiful islands,” she said.

Miss Hislop is a proud resident of North Caicos.
