Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands 18th November 2024– On Wednesday and Thursday, November 13th and 14th, students from Public and Private Primary and Secondary schools across the Turks and Caicos Islands displayed their mathematical ability in the 3rd Annual National Mathematics Jeopardy Competition. The event, hosted by the Department and Ministry of Education, in collaboration with key sponsors, brought together 20 schools in an exciting showdown of knowledge, strategy, and quick thinking.
The Primary Division delivered thrilling performances, with Adelaide Oemler Primary School securing 3rd place, Best Institute finishing strong in 2nd place, and the International School of the Turks and Caicos clinching 1st place for the second year. The competition in this division was fierce, but the champions demonstrated exceptional teamwork and mathematical skills.
In the Secondary Division, the contest for the top spots was especially intense. A. Louise Garland Thomas High School earned 3rd place, Raymond Gardiner High School achieved 2nd place, and Clement Howell High School once again claimed the championship, securing 1st place for the second consecutive year. The close margin between Raymond Gardiner High School and Clement Howell kept the audience on the edge of their seats, with both teams delivering stellar performances right until the final round.

With an electrifying atmosphere, nail-biting finishes, and exceptional displays of talent, this event was a true testament to the power of education and collaboration.”
