The Serious Crime Unit of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RT&CIPF) is investigating the shooting death of Terrance Hamilton Forbes, a respected member of the Five Cays community.
Details of the Incident:
The Police Control Room received reports of gunshots in the vicinity of a bar in Five Cays shortly after 4 PM on November 8.
An All Points Bulletin was issued, and several police units responded.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed the presence of a male victim lying motionless on the ground with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
Police Statement:
Acting Commissioner of Police Kendall Grant, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Fitz Bailey, visited the scene and issued the following statement:
“I want to extend condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Forbes, who was a pillar in the Five Cays community. His senseless killing has robbed the close-knit community of a kind-hearted and warm soul. The RT&CIPF are following leads, but we need the assistance of witnesses.”
The Acting Commissioner urged anyone with information to come forward, stating:
“I am asking the public to notify the closest police station, contact 911, the Serious Crime Unit at 231-1842, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 to anonymously provide any information on this homicide. Please help us bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.”
