Turks and Caicos, November 6, 2024 – A shattered glass sliding door, a disturbed residence, a bloody bathroom, is where her lifeless body was found. Providenciales, was on Monday November 4 was once again, thrust into a state of shock.
Word spread quickly about the country’s newest homicide victim, the second woman murdered in the Turks & Caicos this year.
Aiesha Clarke Williams lived near the wetlands and the intruder(s) entered her apartment and shot at her between three and five times; including once in the head.
She had survived a shooting last year. In the incident her husband was struck multiple times. They were both airlifted to medical care, days later her husband – Jevanio Williams – died due to those injuries.
Earlier this year, in March, Ayesha took to social media to express how much she missed her husband, who was also her partner in their thriving business. The pair owned and operated G&A Juicy Juicy Burgers on Sapodilla Beach.
Eagle Legal News Investigative Journalist was on the scene in Monday night when family members arrived; there was wailing. Loved ones were inconsolable.
It was a particularly painful moment for gospel minister, Apostle Cindy Clarke Jarrett. Apostle Jarrett was in disbelief that her baby sister was in the house, murdered.
There was a fervent burst of prayer as relatives tried to cope with the gruesome, sudden loss.
“Ayesha was a strong woman, very loving to whoever comes in contact with, she was such a beautiful soul, she’s already deeply missed,” said Apostle Jarrett.
Prayers were requested for the family, specifically Ayesha’s mom and their other sister, who lives in The Bahamas.
This killing, which some have described as a targeted attack reminded the community about the August 23rd, 2023 incident when Ayesha and her husband were on their way out of Kew Town and their truck was ambushed and riddled with bullets. Both were hit and medically evacuated. Jevanio Williams, died in a Cayman Islands hospital two days later on August 25, 2023. His body was laid to rest in Grand Bahama, The Bahamas.
So far, there have been no arrests made in either of the murders; the investigations remain active.
