Cabinet Meeting November 6 approves development agreement for Manufacturing

Governor, Her Excellency, Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, chaired the 36th meeting of Cabinet held on Wednesday, 6th November 2024 at the Office of the Premier and Public Policy, Leeward Highway, Providenciales.

All members of Cabinet were present with the exception of Hon. Jamel Robinson, Deputy Premier.  

At this meeting Cabinet:

1. Noted the Second Quarter Financial Report indicating the performance of the Turks and Caicos Islands Government for the second quarter of financial year 2024-2025.
2. Approved amendments to the Companies and Limited Partnership (Economic Substance) (Amendment) Bill, Regulations and Guidance.
3. Approved amendments to the National Insurance Board Human Resources Policy and Procedures relating to staff benefits and allowances.
4. Approved for TCIG to enter into a Development Agreement (DA) for the construction of a manufacturing plant.
5. Approved amendments to the Beneficial Ownership Regulations.
6. Approved the naming of the Special Needs Block located at the Adelaide Oemler Primary School North Caicos to the Maud Handfield Block in commemoration of Special Needs Month.
