Officers Recover Firearm; Two Arrested

Turks and Caicos, October 03rd, 2024 – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force Response and Operations Team, yesterday (October 2) evening, arrested two males and seized an illegal firearm.

During Operation MIGHT, the officers conducted stop-and-searches shortly after 9:30 pm when they noticed a car proceeding along the Walkin Mariner Roundabout in Blue Hills.

During a search of the vehicle, which was occupied by a 27-year-old and a 29-year-old male, officers found a pistol, several rounds of ammunition and a quantity of drugs.

The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.

The RT&CIPF is asking anyone with information on illegal firearms to contact the closest police station, 911, the Serious Crime Unit at 231-1842, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 to provide any information anonymously.
