FROM THE INTEGRITY COMMISSION
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – Wednesday, 16 October 2024:The Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI), Integrity Commission’s (IC) core function is to promote integrity, honesty and good faith in public life. Hence, its purview is the civil service, statutory boards and specified persons in public life. Critical to its role is fostering a healthy relationship with the gatekeepers of the civil service, the permanent secretaries and their deputies.

An interactive engagement was held at The Sands conference room on 15th October 2024, 8:30am to 1:00pm. The session was a very positive one and gave all participants the opportunity to talk freely with each other. The session began with words of welcome from the Commission’s Chair, Hon. Ms Justice Lobban Jackson, who highlighted the importance of partnership, understanding and agreement.
Thereafter followed presentations from the Commission’s key units – Compliance, Investigation, Public Education and the Commission’s Director Mr Nick Wallen. The event ended following a question-and-answer session, with words from Her Excellency the Deputy Governor Anya Williams.
Closing remarks from Commissioner Wendall Swann expressed thanks to the HE Deputy Governor for her attendance and active participation. The Commission then presented the H.E. Anya Williams with a picture illustrating the commitment and partnership of the civil service’s leaders in promoting integrity in public life. Copies of this picture will be featured strategically in various ministries and departments.
