Teens, Young man arrested for Car Theft

Turks and Caicos, September 21, 2024 – Two 18-year-olds and a 21-year-old were apprehended for the alleged theft of a vehicle reported on Thursday, August 23, 2024.

Police located the suspected stolen vehicle with three young men inside and made the arrests in the parking lot of CIBC, which is located on Leeward Highway, Providenciales.

A thorough search of the car revealed no illegal items, and nothing was found on the individuals.

The 21-year-old, CHARLES WINSTON KING, Jr., was born in the United States but currently resides in Belgrade Parker Gardens, Providenciales.

One of the 18-year-olds, GERLAN BROMVENT, is a native Turks Islander from The Bight, Providenciales, while the other, TYQUAN GARLAND, is a Turks Islander from Blue Hills, Providenciales.

They were arrested on Monday, September 16, 2024, on charges of Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Authority (TMVWA); all reportedly spent the night in police custody, and were released on bail the following day.

The vehicle, a small model, gray coloured Japanese car, had been towed for further processing by TCI Police.
