Turks and Caicos, September 5, 2024 – The Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority (TCIAA), will on September 10th, hosts the Gifford Gardniner International Airport Renaming and new terminal unveiling, starting at 10: a.m., in North Caicos.
It will focus on the renaming of the airport and the unveiling of the plans for the new terminal. Another ceremony will take place at 2: p.m. at Middle Caicos for the Eric Arthur Airport and renaming.
The second ceremony will celebrate the legacy of Eric Arthur with a diverse audience including dignitaries, officials, and family members of the honoree as with CGIA. Recently, the TCIAA renamed the Providenciales International Airport to the Howard Hamilton International Airport (HHIA).
Also, the South Caicos Airport has been renamed as the Norman B Saunders Sr. International Airport. The developments followed a Government’s approval for the renaming of several of the Island’s airports.
For individuals unable to attend the events in person, the Authority will provide a livestream of both ceremonies. Photos will be made available following the events. They are also welcoming any questions or comments the public may have, which can be recorded via audio or video for those who may require remote assistance.
