TCI Cabinet presented a Transportation Plan – FRIDAY August 9, 2024

Turks and Caicos Islands – All members of Cabinet were present with the exception of the Minister for Tourism, Hon. Josephine Connolly; the Minister for Health, Hon. Shaun Malcolm; and the Attorney General, Hon. Rhondalee Knowles. Hon. Khalila Astwood attending as Acting Attorney General.

At this meeting of Cabinet:

1. It approved in principle the introduction of a National Quality Policy 2024 to strengthen TCI’s National Quality Infrastructure to be able to participate successfully in international trade and support sustainable development.
2. It received an information paper regarding the proposed Lagoon basin creation.
3. It received an information paper in respect of the Strand Development Dredging Project.
4. It received a presentation on the Transportation Improvement Plan for the island of Providenciales.
5. It approved the recommendations made in relation to the Independent Statutory Bodies Pay and Grading Review.
