Turks and Caicos, September 20, 2024 – Turks and Caicos Islands, Turks and Caicos resident Vincent Wills, also known as “Big Leg,” 40, and Jamaican national Errol Dallavanty Williams, known as “Rooster,” 57, were arrested after authorities discovered nearly $1 million worth of marijuana off the coast of South Caicos.
Both men were among three individuals reportedly seen fleeing the scene. Police have not yet confirmed whether sufficient evidence exists to formally charge the suspects with narcotics-related offenses.
However, law enforcement officials noted that both men have had previous encounters with the law involving similar allegations.
At a press conference Tuesday, the Commissioner of Police confirmed the arrests.
Notably, Vincent Wills is currently on bail for a similar case pending in court.
Authorities are also investigating the ownership of the boat involved, which is believed to belong to a local resident. This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
