PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS (September 12th, 2024) – Experience Turks and Caicos is pleased to announce that the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands has once again won the Caribbean Best Incentive Destination in the 2024 MICE Awards.

Providenciales, the commercial and tourism hub of the Turks and Caicos Islands, won over nine other destinations in the Caribbean. This is the second consecutive year that the Turks and Caicos Islands has won this award.

The MICE Awards serves to celebrate and reward excellence in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) tourism. Votes were cast by MICE industry professionals and the public, with the nominee gaining the most votes in a category named as the winner.

“This recognition, thanks to the World MICE Awards, is further testament to the strength of the Turks and Caicos Islands as a premier destination. Providenciales, our tourism hub, provides the right ingredients of barefoot luxury, luxury properties, security, and cultural authenticity that companies and organisations are looking for to reward their employees and clients,” said Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Josephine Connolly.

“The Incentive Travel market is a thriving one with 2023 data from the Incentive Travel Index showing that 90 percent of companies use it as a tool to retain talent. The market is expected to grow further into 2025. The Turks and Caicos Islands is well-positioned to capture this growing market as our multi-island destination provides ample opportunities for those looking for that varied experience. This is yet another niche for us to increase visitation and spend,” the Minister added.
