CARLENCIA LIGHTBOURNE APPOINTED AS PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Turks and Caicos, September 2, 2024 – The Office of The Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands is proud to announce Ms. Carlencia Lightbourne’s appointment as the Public Relations and Communications Officer within the Ministry of Immigration and Border Services.

Ms. Lightbourne brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new position, which is supported by a robust academic foundation. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Turks and Caicos Islands Community College. Pursuing further excellence, she continued her academic journey at Oxford Brookes University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in International Hospitality Management.

In addition to her undergraduate accomplishments, Ms. Lightbourne achieved a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing from Liverpool John Moores University, where she excelled academically and served as a student advocate, highlighting her leadership skills and her ability to communicate effectively on behalf of her peers. Her strong academic credentials are further complemented by specialized certifications in Digital and Data-Driven Marketing from the Institute of Data and Marketing and in Principles of Public Relations from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Ms. Lightbourne shared her excitement about her new role, saying:
