TARINA PARKER APPOINTED AS DMV SUPERVISOR

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands – The Office of the Deputy Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Tarina Parker as the Supervisor in the Department of Motor Vehicles within the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ms. Parker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Tampa and a Master of Business Administration from Charisma University.  She has over five years of customer service experience at Scotiabank (TCI) Ltd., where she served in various roles, including Teller, Customer Service Representative, Business Banking Officer (Acting), and Assistant Manager Services & Support (Acting).

In May 2018, Ms. Parker transitioned to the Public Service as a Statistician in the Department of Statistics (now Statistics Authority).  After relocating in 2022, she joined the Sales and Marketing team at Beach Enclave Turks and Caicos, where she engaged with numerous guests and tourism stakeholders.

Ms. Parker’s appointment is part of a broader initiative to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department of Motor Vehicles. Her extensive background in customer service and public service administration is expected to play a crucial role in advancing the department’s objectives, particularly in areas such as streamlining processes, reducing wait times, and enhancing overall customer satisfaction.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms. Parker stated:

“I am honoured and excited about my return to the Public Service to take on the role of Supervisor in the Department of Motor Vehicles. This position represents a significant opportunity to contribute to our community. I am committed to bringing my experience and dedication to improving the customer service experience in this new role, which is a key goal for our ministry.”

Deputy Governor and Head of the Public Service, Her Excellency Anya Williams, commented on Ms. Parker’s appointment:

“It gives me great pleasure to officially congratulate Ms. Tarina Parker on her appointment as a Supervisor in the Department of Motor Vehicles Providenciales Division and to welcome her back to the Turks and Caicos Islands Public Service.

As we work to improve service delivery in this and other customer-focused departments, we are happy to have Ms. Parker join our team, where her customer service skills will be greatly utilized.
