INTERHEALTH CANADA HOLDS A HISTORIC TRAUMA NURSING CORE COURSE (TNCC) CERTIFICATION

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos: In a groundbreaking initiative, InterHealth Canada- Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital recently hosted the first-ever Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) at the Cheshire Hall Medical Centre and Cockburn Town Medical Centre.

Led by Instructor Lena Bruce, the course successfully trained a select cohort of 24 nurses from the InterHealth Canada—Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital and the Ministry of Health and Human Services with emergency and critical care backgrounds.

The TNCC, a globally recognized gold standard course for hospitals and trauma centres, equips nurses with unparalleled expertise, critical thinking acumen, and hands-on training essential for delivering top-notch care to trauma patients. The interactive nature of the course was facilitated through engaging instructor-led classroom discussions, skills stations and various interactive exercises. This dynamic approach not only enhanced their practical skills but also fostered a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie among the nurses.
