Guantánamo Politician Yarisleidis Cirilo Duboys  brings Cuba a Bronze Medal from Paris

Yarisleidis Cirilo Duboys (born 10 May 2002) is a Cuban sprint canoeist and elected politician for the Guantánamo district, elected as a member of the National Assembly of People’s Power.[5].

Duboys qualified at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in the C-1 200 meters, and C-2 500 meters and competed at the 2021 Canoe Sprint World Cup.

On Saturday August 10, the medal was secured at the first Olympics to boat gender neutrality; the same number of men and women competing at the world’s premier sports meet.

Cuba was the most successful Caribbean country at the 2024 Olympics, securing nine medals; two gold, one silver and six bronze.
