Condolence Visit to Murdered Five Cays Senior Citizen

Turks and Caicos, August 15, 2024 – Commissioner of Police Edvin Martin and the Force Chaplain Pastor Wilbert Jennings Tuesday,  August 13th visited the wife of murdered victim Reginald Forbes.

Commissioner Martin extended condolences on behalf of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force during this challenging period and assured the widow, “The police are working tirelessly to investigate this heinous crime and bring the offender to justice. Our detectives are leaving no stone unturned, and we are committed to ensuring justice is delivered. The senseless killing of Mr Forbes has deeply impacted our community.”

Pastor Jennings provided spiritual support and guidance through prayer, urging the widow to seek solace in God.

Mr Forbes, 71, succumbed to injuries, having been shot on Sunday, 11 August 2024, while at his Five Cays, Providenciales home.

The public is advised to notify the closest police station or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 and anonymously report any illegal activity.
