Cabinet considers subsidizing North Caicos flights from Provo  

Turks and Caicos Islands

Cabinet meeting July 23^rd, 2024 all members of Cabinet were present with the exception of Hon. Josephine Connolly, Hon. Kyle Knowles and Attorney General Hon. Rhondalee Knowles; with Khalilah Astwood attending as Acting Attorney General.

At this meeting of Cabinet:

1. It approved the request from Hamilton Development Corporation Ltd. for a reinstatement of the Stamp Duty Remission Order for an additional three-month period.
2. It granted approval of Planning Application PR 17526, Ougin Ltd. for a proposed condominium development and ancillary facilities on South Bank, Long Bay Hill Providenciales in accordance with the provisions of Section 39 (2) of the Physical Planning Ordinance 2021.
3. It approved recommendations for change in policy in respect of the Real Estate (Brokers & Salesmen) Licensing Ordinance 2024; noting that the draft legislation is to return to Cabinet for further consideration before progressing to the House of Assembly.
4. It considered proposals related to the subsidization of air service between the Howard Hamilton International Airport in Providenciales and the Clifford Gardiner International Airport in North Caicos.
5. It approved the appointment of Dr. Marcela E. Malcolm as Chairman of the Health Professions Council for a period of two years.
6. It approved the appointment of new members to the Physical Planning Appeals Tribunal for a period of two years:

1. It approved import duty relief for Rebirth Paving Company Limited in accordance with the Customs Ordinance 71 (1).
