Suspect Held; Another Firearm Recovered in Operation MIGHT

#TurksandCaicos, July 19, 2024 – At approximately 2 pm on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, acting on information, raided a residence in Blue Hills, Providenciales.

Several people ran off in separate directions during the raid, but one male was detained.

During a search of a bag recovered, officers discovered a firearm, along with one magazine and nine rounds of ammunition.

The 42-year-old male suspect resided in Blue Hills and was arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition. This latest firearm seizure brings to five the number of illegal firearms found within 72 hours under Operation MIGHT.

Operation MIGHT is a testament to our commitment to community safety. It focuses on deterring criminal activities while harnessing the RT&CIPF’s total resources to disrupt criminality.
