#TurksandCaicos, July 5, 2024 – The Department of Gender Affairs within the Ministry of Home Affairs, Transportation and the Telecommunication Commission in collaboration with the Department of Youth is thrilled to announce the launch of the “Love on Me” Girls Empowerment Summer Sessions. This July, young girls from ages 12 to 18 will have a unique opportunity to attend the “Love on Me” empowerment session, a transformative two-day programme designed to inspire, educate, and empower girls across the Turks and Caicos. This is a unique opportunity for your daughters to feel inspired and empowered, and we can’t wait to see the growth and confidence they will gain from this experience.
Running from:
8th– 9thJuly in North Caicos at the Adelaide Oemler Primary School,
11th-12thJuly in Providenciales at the Salvation Army, and
16th-17thJuly in Grand Turk at the H.J Robinson High School

“Love on Me” is a comprehensive programme focused on various aspects of empowerment, providing participants with the tools and confidence they need to navigate their teenage years and beyond. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics including self-esteem, mental health and body positivity. Each day will bring a new presenter, from motivational speakers and health professionals to successful women from throughout our communities, ensuring that the girls receive diverse perspectives and expertise. You can rest assured that this program is designed to cover all aspects of empowerment, leaving no stone unturned in your daughters’ growth and development.
One of the highlights of the “Love on Me” session is the inclusion of interactive sessions, where participants will engage in activities designed to build confidence and foster a sense of community.
